So… why are you doing this?
When I started I didn’t think I had a great answer. Now, at day 66 (and 900 miles – fuck YEAH!) I see the reasons why I’m here as being more fluid, evolving over time.
900! And now I’m in Mammoth. This last section was definitely a rough stretch for me. I was struggling a lot with sleep — from combinations of uncomfortable sleeping pad, crazy mosquito itch, and negative mindsets. As a result I was waking up late and hiking worse.
In the Sierras now! This is the view from Kearsarge Pass to get out to Bishop/lone Pine/Independence. The snow on the mountains has been insanely beautiful, and I’m stoked for the trail to come.
